🔎 About the Role

Partners in Hope (PIH) is seeking a highly motivated Implementation Science Data Manager to lead all data-related activities within the Implementation Science Department.

The department manages major research projects funded by institutions such as the National Institutes of Health and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others.

The Data Manager will:

• Oversee data systems (collection, storage, cleaning & analysis)

• Develop data management SOPs & quality control procedures

• Supervise and mentor 2–4 Data Coordinators/Officers

• Lead advanced statistical analysis & reporting

• Develop e-data tools (ODK, SurveyCTO)

• Conduct analyses using Stata, R, and/or Python

• Support proposal development & contribute to manuscript writing

• Build local data science capacity

Reports to: Senior Implementation Science Manager

✅ Qualifications

✔ Master’s degree (MPH, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics, or related) + 5 years’ experience in data management

OR

✔ PhD in relevant field + 2 years’ experience

✔ Experience in health research (clinical trials preferred)

✔ Strong statistical analysis & data visualization skills

✔ Expertise in ODK, SurveyCTO, Stata, R and/or Python

✔ Strong leadership, mentoring & communication skills

✔ Ability to travel within Malawi
