ABOUT THE PROJECT 

The International Centre for Forest Research and World Agroforestry (CIFOR–ICRAF) has been implementing a four‑year Prioritizing Options for Women’s Empowerment and Resilience in Food Tree Value Chains (POWER) project. The initiative includes piloting training and capacity‑building interventions that support gender‑equitable development of the improved mango value chain in Kasungu and Mzimba Districts.

As part of the project’s activities, CIFOR–ICRAF seeks to recruit Enumerators to support the endline evaluation study, scheduled to run for 11 days beginning 23 March 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Enumerators will:

Attend training workshops prior to field deployment.

Conduct household surveys using smartphones or tablets.

Collect GPS coordinates and accurate field data.

Document findings using digital data‑collection tools.

Upload daily data to the ICRAF online database.

Participate in daily team review meetings.

Ensure full coverage of assigned enumeration areas.

Maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Report challenges and provide feedback to supervisors.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences, Agriculture, or a related field.

Proven experience conducting household surveys (required).

Experience using smartphones/tablets for digital data collection.

Familiarity with online survey tools and GPS data collection.

Knowledge of local languages and cultural contexts.

Ownership of a smartphone with good battery life, adequate storage, and compatibility with SurveyCTO.

Understanding of research ethics and confidentiality standards.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to travel long distances within assigned areas.

Availability for the full survey period.

High integrity, punctuality, and strong teamwork skills.
