POSITION: ULTRASOUND TECHNICIAN / SONOGRAPHER
Location: Blantyre
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently.
Accurately record patient data, imaging details, and procedures.
Explain ultrasound procedures clearly to patients and ensure correct preparation.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images as per established clinical protocols.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; report any faults.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Assist clinicians during specialized procedures.
Ensure adherence to infection prevention, control, and equipment safety protocols.
Qualifications and Experience.
Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography or relevant qualification in Medical Imaging.
Formal training and demonstrated competence in ultrasound scanning.
Registration with the Medical Council of Malawi and a valid practising license.
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting.
Ability and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.
