CENTENARY BANK – IT CORE BANKING OFFICER
Location: Head Office, Lilongwe
Reporting to: IT Manager - Infrastructure
Centenary Bank is inviting applications for the position of IT Core Banking Officer in the IT Department.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring effective support, maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of the Core Banking System (CBS) and related banking applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for Flexcube Core Banking System
- Provide technical support for SWIFT, MITASS, ChequePoint
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve application issues
- Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and enhancements
- Support business units with CBS-related requests
- Document system configurations and change logs
- Participate in UAT cycles for new features and system changes
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and audit requirements
- Liaise with vendors for incident escalation and system optimization
- Provide training and technical guidance to end-users
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent (added advantage)
- ITIL Foundation
- Minimum 3 years' experience in IT administration in a financial institution or telecom
- Minimum 3 years' experience supporting a Core Banking System
- Minimum 3 years' experience supporting Flexcube
