Location: Head Office, Lilongwe

Reporting to: Head of IT

Centenary Bank is inviting applications for the position of Data Analyst in the IT Department.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and analytical models supporting business insights, risk management, and digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze data in the bank's systems to identify patterns, relationships, and trends
• Identify data gaps and lead data cleanup initiatives
• Develop predictive and machine-learning models for credit scoring, fraud detection, and customer analytics
• Prepare analytical reports and dashboards (Power BI, Python, R, SQL)
• Support regulatory reporting (CRB reports, IFRS9 reports)
• Create scripts and tools to generate accurate reports
• Translate business needs into analytical solutions and dashboards
• Manage and optimize data warehouses, lakes, and big data platforms

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Data Analytics/ML/Cloud certifications are an added advantage
• ITIL Foundation
• Minimum 3 years' experience in data analytics or BI in a reputable organization
