POSITION: PAYROLL ASSISTANT

BACKGROUND
Chain Logistics invites applications from suitably qualified, highly motivated and experienced candidates to fill the position of Payroll Assistant.
JOB PURPOSE
The Payroll Assistant will support the HR Officer in the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, employee records, statutory deductions and related administrative tasks. This role ensures all payroll activities comply with Chain Logistics’ policies and legal requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Collect and verify timesheets, attendance records, and overtime reports.
Assist in processing monthly salaries, allowances, statutory deductions and ensure timely remittance.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in salary or benefits.
Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and employee queries.
Generate payroll reports for the HR Officer and Finance team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in payroll, and HR Administration
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel
Knowledge of statutory deductions and labor laws
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
