About the Company
Times Capital Finance (TCF) Limited, a subsidiary of The Times Group, is a non-deposit taking Microfinance Institution providing financial services to low-income individuals and small businesses in Malawi. TCF offers loans, financial literacy, and envisions expanding into a full bouquet of microfinance products and services.
Position: Credit Manager
Reporting to the CEO, the Credit Manager will oversee credit operations across all service centres, ensuring efficient processes, portfolio growth, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Drive credit portfolio growth in line with approved budgets & targets
Supervise credit analysis, loan booking, monitoring, collections & reporting
Ensure effective risk management, loan recovery & portfolio quality control
Support branches with credit underwriting, staffing & process improvements
Co-approve branch credit applications with the CEO
Lead development of innovative credit products & digital financial services
Ensure compliance with internal policies, audits & RBM regulations
Prepare credit performance & board reports
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance or related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit risk management within financial services
Strong credit analysis, portfolio management & leadership skills
Excellent communication, coaching & computer skills
High level of professionalism & integrity
