General Description of the Role
Our client an esteemed Association invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Project Manager under the Resilience Building Initiative (RBI) project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of integrated community development interventions in collaboration with the Sukambizi Management Committee.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage RBI community development programs.
Manage and oversee the RBI revolving fund.
Promote livestock production and income diversification initiatives.
Lead environmental sustainability and climate change adaptation programs.
Coordinate the promotion of solar cookstoves and other clean energy solutions.
Manage bursary schemes and distribution of educational materials.
Coordinate community awareness initiatives, including radio programs.
Develop work plans, budgets, reports, and monitoring & evaluation data.
Engage with stakeholders, including communities, government departments, NGOs, and donors.
Qualifications and Key prerequisites
(a). Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Project Management, or related field.
(b). Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in managing community development or agricultural projects.
(c). Proven experience with revolving funds, livelihoods programs, or farmer-based organizations.
(d). Experience in climate change, environmental sustainability, or clean energy initiatives will be an added advantage.
(e). Strong experience working with rural communities and multi-stakeholder environments.
