POSITION: CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER (CFO)

Location: Blantyre

OVERVIEW

On behalf of United General Insurance (UGI), we are inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and dynamic professionals for the position of:

CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER (CFO)

The position is tenable in Blantyre, Malawi.

The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership to the organization and serve as a key advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Board on matters relating to financial stewardship, governance, risk management, and long-term financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Financial planning, reporting, and cash flow management

• Governance, compliance, and internal control oversight

• Board reporting and executive support

• Insurance financial oversight and stakeholder engagement

• Strategic financial advisory and business support

Ideal candidates should possess:

• A Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or related field

• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA Malawi

• A minimum of 7 years relevant experience

• Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic capabilities
