POSITION: SENIOR MARKETING OFFICER

Location: Blantyre

OVERVIEW 

Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) is a statutory body with mandate to develop, promote, encourage and control all forms of sport in the country.

In order to fulfill its mandate, MNCS invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill various vacant positions as follows:

Senior Marketing Officer

Grade: CS4

Reporting to: Director of Planning, Marketing and Infrastructure Development

Position Function

To develop, coordinate and implement marketing, branding, sponsorship and commercialization strategies for the Council’s achievement of its mandates

Main Duties:

Developing and managing marketing and branding strategies

Developing and implementing sponsorship and resource mobilization initiatives

Undertaking sports commercialization and revenue generation initiatives

Managing Council’s digital marketing and Content

Undertaking event marketing and promotion

Undertaking Marketing research and monitoring

Managing stakeholder engagement and partnerships

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Marketing/Business Administration/Commerce

Professional Certification in Marketing

4 years’ relevant experience

Knowledge of sports marketing/sports administration a plus
