OVERVIEW

AYCT, through the Pathway Centre (in partnership with Be That Girl Foundation), seeks a Mental Health & Social Skills Coach to deliver personal development, wellbeing, employability, and life skills programmes. The role focuses on equipping young women with confidence, emotional wellbeing, communication skills, and workplace readiness to support successful transitions into education, employment, entrepreneurship, or other life pathways.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Education, Community Development, Adult Education, or related field

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in youth development, life skills, psychosocial support, coaching, counselling, or community programmes

• Experience working with adolescents, young women, or vulnerable populations

• Knowledge of safeguarding, mental health, gender equality, and youth development

• Strong facilitation and learner centered coaching skills

• Excellent communication skills in English and Chichewa

DUTIES

• Facilitate interactive sessions on personal development, communication, workplace readiness, and career development

• Support participants in building self awareness, resilience, emotional intelligence, leadership, and responsible citizenship

• Deliver practical learning through role plays, simulations, case studies, and peer learning

• Adapt coaching approaches to diverse learning needs

• Promote safeguarding, positive mental health, and resilience in a supportive environment
