POSITION: SCHOOL NURSE

OVERVIEW 

Saint Louis High School, a reputable private secondary school located in Dedza District, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of School Nurse

Qualifications and Requirements

Hold a Diploma in Nursing. Those with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing will have an added advantage

Be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi.

Have knowledge of School Health and Nutrition (SHN).

Have knowledge of Youth Friendly Health Services (YFHS).

Have experience in a similar position (added advantage)

Be of high integrity, honest and self-motivated.

Posses good communication and interpersonal skills.

Should be aged 27 years and above.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Providing first aid and basic health care services to students and staff.

Conducting health assessments and maintaining students health records.

Developing and implementing care plans for students chronic or acute health conditions.

Administering medication and monitoring delegated medication administration.

Coordinating school health screening programs.

Promoting school health education and disease prevention among students and staff.

Working closely with teachers, parents and health facilities to ensure students well-being.

Performing any other health-related duties assigned by management
