POSITION: Data Analyst
Location: Lilongwe, Area 4
Overview
Shopwise is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated candidates to fill the position of Data Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing sales and inventory data, preparing reports and dashboards, and providing actionable insights to improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales data.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify stock shortages or overstocking.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for management.
- Track product performance and pricing trends.
- Support forecasting and demand planning.
- Identify customer purchasing patterns and shopping behaviour.
- Work with procurement and finance teams to optimize stock management.
- Develop KPIs for store performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain reporting databases.
- Present actionable insights to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in retail or supermarket analytics is an added advantage.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Understanding of retail KPIs and customer analytics.
