INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND

Lilongwe Handling Company Limited (LIHACO) is a wholly Malawi Government owned commercial entity established in 2000. The core business of the company is to provide to provide passenger, ramp and cargo handling services to national and international airlines, travel & tour and lounge services to passengers traveling in and out of Malawi Airports. The Company is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position at Bakili Muluzi International Airport and Kamuzu International Airport.

Post: Cleaner (LH 10)

Responsible to: Housekeeper

Responsible for: None

Purpose: To maintain sanitation and hygiene at LIHACO premises and in the Aircraft.

Main Duties

Cleaning offices, check - in counters, aircraft cabin and washrooms.

Participating in cleaning GSE and mobilizing cleaning tools.

Draining and disposing of wastes from Aircraft and toilet service vehicles

Scrubbing water service vehicle tank

Filling portable water in the Aircraft

Chocking and coning the Aircraft

Collecting foreign object debris

Participating in assisting physically challenged passengers

Performing messengerial roles

Education Qualification

Minimum MSCE.

Work Experience

Cleaning experience will be an added advantage.
