POSITION: LECTURER (1 POST)

Location: Chilangoma TTC, Blantyre District

1. Introduction

DAPP Malawi is a locally registered NGO working in education, health, food security and community development. DAPP Malawi is inviting suitably qualified, experienced, and interested candidates to apply for the vacant position of Lecturer at Chilangoma Teachers Training College.

The successful candidate will be teaching a combination of Science & Technology and Human Ecology and will report to the Dean of Academics.

2. Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Effective lesson planning and delivery

• Resource development and curriculum development, implementation and review

• Demonstrate deep and comprehensive understanding of the subject matter

• Updating of teaching profession records

• Create and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment

• Mobilize students in groups to carry out planned programs

• Overall oversight and maintenance of all records for the allocated subjects

3. Qualifications and Attributes

• Highly disciplined and self-motivated

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education from an institution accredited by NCHE

• At least 2 years' experience as a Teacher Educator at TTC level

• At least 2 years' experience as a Science & Technology and Human Ecology teacher

• Those with a T2 certificate with primary school teaching experience will have an added advantage
