Job Summary
MSG is looking for a visionary and strategic leader to transform its library into a modern, digital-first learning hub. The successful candidate will lead innovation in e-learning integration, digital pedagogy, and information literacy while ensuring high standards of academic support and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Management & Leadership
β’ Develop and implement library policies, strategies, and budgets
β’ Lead and supervise library staff
β’ Oversee service delivery across campuses
β’ Integrate e-learning platforms and digital teaching initiatives
Library & Information Services
β’ Manage cataloguing and metadata systems
β’ Implement information literacy programmes
β’ Champion digital preservation and secure library resources
Teaching, Research & Advisory
β’ Support academic programmes, research, and consultancy
β’ Advise staff and postgraduate students on credible journals
Financial & Quality Management
β’ Manage annual budgets and mobilise resources
β’ Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
β’ Prepare quarterly and annual reports
Qualifications & Experience
β’ Master of Science in Library & Information Sciences (or related field) from an NCHE-accredited institution
β’ Minimum 5 yearsβ senior-level experience in higher education or comparable institution
β’ Advanced experience managing online and e-learning systems
