SCHOOL LIBRARIAN
Job Summary
MSG is looking for a visionary and strategic leader to transform its library into a modern, digital-first learning hub. The successful candidate will lead innovation in e-learning integration, digital pedagogy, and information literacy while ensuring high standards of academic support and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Management & Leadership
• Develop and implement library policies, strategies, and budgets
• Lead and supervise library staff
• Oversee service delivery across campuses
• Integrate e-learning platforms and digital teaching initiatives
Library & Information Services
• Manage cataloguing and metadata systems
• Implement information literacy programmes
• Champion digital preservation and secure library resources
Teaching, Research & Advisory
• Support academic programmes, research, and consultancy
• Advise staff and postgraduate students on credible journals
Financial & Quality Management
• Manage annual budgets and mobilise resources
• Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports
Qualifications & Experience
• Master of Science in Library & Information Sciences (or related field) from an NCHE-accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years’ senior-level experience in higher education or comparable institution
• Advanced experience managing online and e-learning systems
