About the Restore Africa Project
The Restore Africa Project aims to restore over 220,000 hectares of degraded land and improve livelihoods for 220,000+ farming households in Malawi through agroforestry, tree planting, and sustainable land restoration.
World Agroforestry (ICRAF) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to work as Enumerators to support an upcoming value chain survey.
Key Responsibilities
Enumerators will be responsible for data collection using smartphones or tablets, including:
β’ Conduct household interviews using digital survey tools
β’ Collect accurate data on selected value chain actors
β’ Capture GPS coordinates and upload data daily
β’ Attend enumerator training and follow survey protocols
β’ Document findings and maintain data quality standards
β’ Participate in team meetings and report progress
β’ Report challenges and ensure full coverage of assigned areas
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
β’ Diploma or Bachelorβs Degree in Social Sciences, Agriculture, or related field
β’ Experience conducting household or field surveys (required)
β’ Experience using smartphones/tablets for data collection (added advantage)
β’ Ability to use online survey tools and capture GPS data
β’ Must own a smartphone with good battery and storage
β’ Good communication and interpersonal skills
β’ Understanding of local language and culture
β’ High integrity, attention to detail, and punctuality
β’ Willingness to travel long distances within assigned areas
β’ Available for the full survey period
