JOB DESCRIPTION 

Daeyang Luke Hospital (DLH), is a fast-growing Mission hospital under the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (1)

 REPORTING TO          : SENIOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

LOCATION              : DAEYANG LUKE HOSPITAL, LILONGWE

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT  : TWO YEAR

GRADE                 : K

SALARY                : CHAM SALARY SCALE

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Dispensing drugs to patients and educating them correct usage of drugs.

Analysis of prescription patterns and provide appropriate advice to Hospital Management team.

Pharmacy stock management.

Receiving prescriptions for dispensing.

Managing pharmaceuticals and other medical supplies.

Inventory management.

Educational qualifications, experience and attributes.

Diploma in Pharmacy with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a busy health facility.

Registered with the Pharmacy, Medicines and poisons Board

Contract is renewable depending on satisfactory performance.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY/SKILLS

Well conversant with the health system in Malawi.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Effective communication skills.

Problem identification and solving skills.

Willingness to abide by the vision and core values of the hospital.
