ACTIONAID MALAWI – TEMPORARY PROJECT OFFICER

Location: Lilongwe (with travel to Lilongwe Rural, Balaka, Mulanje & Phalombe)

Project: School Readiness Initiative (Supported by Roger Federer Foundation)

📅 Deadline: 22nd March 2026 (17:00hrs)

ActionAid Malawi is implementing the School Readiness Initiative aimed at improving early childhood development and preparing children for primary education. Applications are invited from qualified candidates to join this impactful project.

Role Overview:

Support project implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to ensure effective delivery and compliance with donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in project planning, budgeting, and needs assessments
• Coordinate and implement project activities with partners and communities
• Build capacity of partners through training and support
• Monitor project progress and collect data
• Prepare monthly reports (narrative & financial)
• Support stakeholder engagement, networking, and advocacy activities
• Ensure integration of women's rights and community participation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience working with children (CBCCs or primary schools)
• Experience in project management, M&E, and reporting
• Good communication, teamwork, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
