Location: Central Region (Dowa & Kasungu) 




Employment Type: Part-Time (8 months)  


 

About Us:


Mentors International is a vibrant organization dedicated to empowering families and individuals to break free from poverty and achieve self-reliance and prosperity. Through our Giving Machine initiative, we aim to distribute goats and sewing materials to selected rural farmers and skilled tailors in Dowa, Kasungu, and Lilongwe districts. The project includes group and personalized business mentoring visits designed to help participants develop essential financial management skills, leading to increased business revenues, savings, and reduced debts.


We are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Mentor with strong financial mentoring skills to join our team and support our initiatives.


 


Job Description:


As a Business Mentor, you will provide group and one-on-one training to selected participants, playing a crucial role in achieving the project’s goals and fostering business growth among beneficiaries.


 


Key Responsibilities:  


Conduct initial assessments of participants

Register participants into the Mentors International database

Maintain updated records of each visit

Lead group mentoring sessions during the project's initial phase

Provide personalized training by visiting participants' businesses or homes at least once a month throughout the project duration

Assist the project coordinator in compiling monthly field reports

 


Qualifications:  


Bachelors Degree in Community Development, Project Management or any related field

Proven experience in customer service, mentoring or coaching roles

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong leadership and coaching abilities to motivate and inspire others

Demonstrated experience in personal or business financial management

Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
