POSITION: CANTEEN MANAGER  

Location: Lilongwe

Founded in 2000, CP is the largest poultry producer in Malawi, with export networks across Southern Africa. The company is fully vertically integrated, managing the entire value chain from “egg to table.”

The opportunity  

The Canteen Manager will oversee nutritional standards in the development, formulation, and evaluation of food products produced by the company. The role ensures that staff meals meet regulatory nutrition requirements and government food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop and review nutritionally balanced foods for staff

Ensure compliance with national food safety and nutrition standards

Monitor food quality and recommend improvements based on dietary needs of staff

Provide guidance on food fortification and dietary requirements

Keep up to date with current nutrition research and regulatory developments

Who We're Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Dietetics, Hospitality management or related field

Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food production. Experience as Chef in a large organization will be an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and nutritional standards

Excellent analytical and report-writing skills

Good communication and teamwork abilities
