Land and Construction Desk Officer (LaCPO)

๐Ÿ“Œ BACKGROUND

The Land and Construction Office manages:

  • Land resources of the Diocese
  • Design and supervision of construction projects

Due to increased construction activities, a new role has been created.

๐ŸŽฏ MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  1. Assist in land acquisition and management for the Diocese and its institutions
  2. Manage the full construction process of diocesan buildings

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Land Management

  • Draw maps for:
  • Church plots (parishes, outstations, substations)
  • Schools, health facilities, CBCCs, orphanages, etc.
  • Ensure land has proper lease documentation
  • Handle land leasing processes

Construction

  • Design buildings and prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities)
  • Ensure buildings meet regulatory standards
  • Supervise construction projects
  • Produce technical and financial reports

Additional

  • Conduct consultancy work to generate income for the Diocese

๐ŸŽ“ REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in:
  • Land Management (Physical Planning) or related field

Experience

  • 3โ€“4 years relevant experience

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Knowledge of land leasing & construction processes
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and supervision ability
  • Innovative and results-driven mindset
  • Ability to work with communities and traditional leaders
