UMODZI HOLDINGS LIMITED – RESTAURANT SUPERVISOR
Location: Lilongwe
Umodzi Holdings Limited (UHL) seeks to urgently engage energetic, result-oriented, suitably qualified Malawians to fill the position of Restaurant Supervisor.
Reporting to: Restaurant Manager
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses.
- Analyse average checks, average spend per person as well as sales mix, in order to add value to menu planning and up-selling.
- Ensure there is a departmental leave planner and that all permanent staff have been allocated for annual leave to ensure leave liability is kept to a minimum.
- Ensure rosters are designed and monitored according to business levels.
Qualification, Experience and attributes:
- Diploma in Hospitality Management those with a Hospitality Degree will have an added advantage. 5 years’ experience in a food service environment including a fine dining,
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff.
- Proven excellent customer service.
- Familiarity with Restaurant Management software.
- Demonstrate leadership skills, motivational and people skills.
