FIDELITY LABOUR CONSULTANTS LTD – ACCOUNTANT (LOGISTICS INDUSTRY)

Location: Blantyre, Malawi

Reporting to: Director

Fidelity Labour Consultants Ltd is recruiting an Accountant for their client in the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards

Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing

Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Monitor and control costs, expenses, and inventory valuations

Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger balances

Support external audits and ensure audit requirements are met

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory regulations

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the logistics industry

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance in Malawi

Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
