POSITION: ACCOUNT MANAGER 


Location: Lilongwe 


ROLE DESCRIPTION 

This is a contract-based Account Manager position located on-site in Lilongwe. The candidate will be responsible for business development, solution design, customer engagement, and technical consultation. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in IT infrastructure and networking, combined with excellent communication and customer-facing skills. Responsibilities include managing account portfolios, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction, analyzing market trends, and providing regular reports on account performance and business growth. The role requires effective communication, strategic planning, and exceptional client management skills.


 


Key Responsibilities


Develop and maintain relationships with customers and business partners.

Identify customer business needs and recommend appropriate IT and network solutions.

Design technical solutions aligned with customer requirements and project objectives.

Conduct customer visits, deliver presentations, and perform solution demonstrations.

Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender documentation.

Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure seamless solution implementation.

Provide pre-sales support and technical consultation throughout the sales cycle.

Proactively follow up on sales opportunities and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

Stay current with emerging IT and networking technologies and market trends.

 


Qualifications


Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT and network solution sales or pre-sales.

Strong knowledge of networking, servers, security, IP and IT infrastructure solutions.

Experience in solution design and technical proposal preparation.

Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to handle customer meetings and site visits independently.

Self-motivated, responsible, and team-oriented.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Networking, or related field.

Relevant certifications (Cisco, Huawei, Microsoft, Fortinet, etc.) are an advantage.

 


Preferred Skills


Experience with enterprise customers and projects.


Knowledge of Data Center, IP, firewall, Storages, and cloud solutions.


Ability to understand customer pain points and provide effective solutions.
