Overview

A poultry farming enterprise in Mzuzu is seeking a qualified and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the establishment and management of a poultry farm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising poultry production activities while ensuring high standards of farm performance, productivity, and animal welfare.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Animal Health and Livestock Production.
• Proven experience in poultry farming with a strong track record of successful farm management.
• Practical knowledge of poultry production, disease prevention, feeding programs, and farm operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Applicants residing in Mzuzu and surrounding areas will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and manage daily poultry farm operations.
• Monitor bird health, feeding schedules, and production performance.
• Implement disease prevention and biosecurity measures.
• Supervise farm workers and ensure efficient farm management.
• Maintain accurate production and financial records.
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare and farm safety standards.
• Develop strategies to improve productivity and profitability.
