POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT 


Location: Blantyre, Malawi


Department: Human Resources


Reports To: Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our growing workforce and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Assist in recruitment activities including job advertising, shortlisting, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.

Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR documentation.

Support onboarding and orientation of new employees.

Monitor employee attendance, leave records, and staff movements.

Assist in payroll preparation and employee benefits administration.

Maintain HR databases and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

Assist in performance management processes and record keeping.

Provide administrative support for disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Support employee engagement and staff welfare initiatives.

Prepare HR reports and other departmental documentation.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and labor laws.

Perform any other duties assigned by management.

 


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.

Minimum of one (1) year experience in Human Resources or Administration.

Knowledge of Malawi labour laws and HR best practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
