POSITION: TREASURY SUPERVISOR 

Location: Lilongwe

OVERVIEW 

Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company seeks qualified applicants for a Treasury Supervisor position at its Lilongwe Head Office on full time basis.

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the Treasury Supervisor is a key member of the finance team responsible for the development and implementation of treasury functions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Cash Management – Manage cash flow, vendor payments, and client invoicing.

Reporting – Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including reviewing journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.

Budgeting and forecasting – Provide analytical support for budgeting and financial forecasting.

Internal control systems and compliance – Implementation of computerised and manual financial systems, compliance frameworks and internal controls, including ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act provisions.

Audit – Coordinate annual external audits and support internal audit reviews

Staff Supervision – Supervise assigned treasury employees, foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies

Should be 25 – 35 years of age

A Bachelor of Accountancy Degree or its equivalent from a recognized and reputable university; and

A professional qualification in accounting (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA),

At least two years of working experience in a similar position, preferably in the private sector.

Those with external audit experience and sound knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 accounting package will have an added advantage.

Ability to perform under pressure to meet stringent reporting deadlines.

Excellent analytical and effective communication skills.

Energetic, tenacious, enthusiastic, and results oriented.
