POSITION: DRIVER (HEAVY GOODS MOTOR VEHICLE)

Location: Liwonde 

OVERVIEW 

The National Water Resources Authority (NWRA) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position:

Job Title: Driver (Heavy Goods Motor Vehicle) (3) Re-Advertisement  

Grade: NW 7  

Department: Kamuzu Barrage  

Location: Liwonde  

Reporting to: Kamuzu Barrage Manager

Purpose of the Job:  

Effectively dispose of weeds harvested from the weed boom at Kamuzu Barrage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Drive/operate dump trucks (tippers) • Ensure that logbooks are properly maintained for each trip, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes and greasing • Coordinating maintenance schedule and insurance for vehicles and informing administration when renewal is due • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:  

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) • Must have a clean and valid driver’s licence of code C with PrDP G, backed by five (5) years’ experience • Experience in dump truck (tipper) operation • Good eyesight and must be physically fit • Must have no criminal record
