Lindian Resources Mining Ltd is expanding operations at Kangankunde Mine and as we advance through construction, commissioning, and operations, we are seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join our growing team in the following positions: -
Senior Metallurgist
Role Summary
The Senior Metallurgist provides advanced technical expertise to optimize mining and processing operations, leading the design, monitoring, and continuous improvement of metallurgical processes to maximize metal recovery, product quality, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead process design activities from concept through to commissioning
Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass and energy balances
Conduct technical evaluations, trade-off studies, and optimization initiatives
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
Interface with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and suppliers
Support tendering, proposal development, and technical documentation
Minimum Requirements:
BEng Degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 10 years’ relevant process engineering experience
Strong background in mineral processing and/or metallurgical plant design
Strong background in Metallurgical Accounting Knowledge
Proficient in process simulation software and mass balance development
Experience in feasibility studies, detailed design, and commissioning
Medically fit to work in a mining environment
Valid driver’s license
General Requirements (All Roles)
Experience in mining, construction, or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
Ability and prepared to work in a remote site environment with high temperatures.

Strong communication and teamwork skills
Good planning and organisational skills
High level of accountability and integrity
Ability to perform under pressure in a production environment
