Good Results for All (GoRA) is a national non-governmental organisation established in 2011 and registered with the Government of Malawi through the Registrar General and the Non-Governmental Organisations Regulatory Authority (NGORA).

Job Summary

The District Project Officer will coordinate the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities aimed at ending child marriage in Traditional Authority Kachindamoto. The successful candidate will work closely with community structures, government departments, and development partners to promote gender equality and strengthen child protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement project activities in line with the approved work plan.
  • Mobilise traditional leaders, religious leaders, women’s-led organisations, and community-based organisations to participate in project activities.
  • Collaborate with government departments, civil society organisations, and development partners within the district.
  • Represent GoRA at District Executive Committee (DEC), Technical Working Group (TWG), and other coordination meetings.
  • Organise and facilitate community dialogues, awareness campaigns, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Monitor project implementation and collect data for reporting and decision-making.
  • Prepare activity reports, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports, including Results Framework (RF) and Indicator Performance Tracking Table (IPTT) reports.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following or a related field:

  • JobsGender and Development Studies.
  • Social Work.
  • Community Development.
  • Development Studies.
  • Development Economics.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience implementing gender equality and child protection programmes.
  • Experience working with local government structures, traditional leaders, religious leaders, community-based organisations, and women’s-led organisations.
  • Proven experience facilitating community training, awareness campaigns, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Experience in project monitoring, documentation, and report writing.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal  communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Good facilitation and community mobilisation skills.
  • Ability to build partnerships and coordinate stakeholders at district and community levels.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
