POSITION: UNDER FIVE BABIES MATRON
Location: Ekwendeni–Emvuyeni, Malawi
OVERVIEW
YANA Babies Village is inviting applications from compassionate, dedicated, and qualified individuals to fill the position of Under Five Babies Matron. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality care, supervision, and developmental support to children under the age of five while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and child-friendly environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide daily care, supervision, and emotional support to children under five.
- Support children's health, hygiene, nutrition, and overall well-being.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Monitor children's growth and development and facilitate age-appropriate learning activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding children's needs and progress.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and adhere to child safeguarding and safety procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nutrition, Early Childhood Development, or an equivalent qualification.
- Willingness to relocate to Ekwendeni–Emvuyeni and reside within the YANA Babies Village premises.
- A genuine passion for childcare with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Qualified applicants from Ekwendeni–Emvuyeni are strongly encouraged to apply.
