Temporary Sales Clerks (2026/2027 Season)

Employer: Smallholder Farmers' Fertilizer Revolving Fund (SFFRFM)

Department: Commercial Services

Grade: F8 (Temporary)

Reporting to: Regional Business Officer / Temporary Compliance Officer

The Smallholder Farmers' Fertilizer Revolving Fund (SFFRFM) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Malawians to fill the position of Temporary Sales Clerk for the 2026/2027 agricultural season.

Purpose of the Job

The Temporary Sales Clerk will be responsible for conducting sales of fertilizer and non-fertilizer products while ensuring accurate stock management, record keeping, and quality customer service at assigned depots.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct sales of fertilizer and certified seeds.

- Record all sales transactions and issue receipts to customers.

- Receive and store fertilizers in accordance with standard operating procedures.

- Oversee day-to-day operations of satellite depots.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records.

- Compile, organize, and file all sales documentation on a daily basis.

- Prepare periodic sales reports.

- Assist customers with product handling and usage.

- Deliver excellent customer service.

- Supervise Security Guards and Porters, including preparing duty rosters in liaison with the Regional Business Officer.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess:

- A Professional Diploma in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Agribusiness Management, Agriculture, or a related field from a recognized institution.

- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with at least a pass in Mathematics and English.

- A minimum of three (3) years' work experience in a busy organization.

- Experience in a similar position and computer literacy will be an added advantage.

- Be between 25 and 50 years of age.

- Have no criminal record.

- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

- Flexible, innovative, and results-oriented.

- Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours when required.

- Good communication skills.

- Knowledge of ICT.
