POSITION: MAID / HOUSEKEEPER

Location: Private Residence, Lilongwe

OVERVIEW

A private household in Lilongwe is seeking to employ an experienced, reliable, and trustworthy maid / housekeeper to join its domestic staff. This is a live-in position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General house cleaning, laundry, and ironing

Cooking and meal preparation for the household

Care and maintenance of household linen, crockery, and furnishings

Ensuring the home is kept clean, tidy, and well organised at all times

Running approved household errands as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

At least 10 years’ verifiable experience in a similar role

Sober habits — no history of alcohol or substance abuse

A minimum of three (3) contactable references from previous employers

Valid national identity document and clean police clearance certificate

In good health and physically able to perform the required duties

Literate in Chichewa and English

Willing to work weekends and public holidays where required

Based in or willing to relocate to Lilongwe

Sound knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.

ACCOMMODATION

Live-in staff accommodation is provided on the premises.
