POSITION: GARDENER

Location: Private Residence, Lilongwe

OVERVIEW

A private household in Lilongwe is seeking to employ an experienced, reliable, and trustworthy gardener to join its domestic staff. This is a live-in position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General garden maintenance: mowing, pruning, weeding, and watering

Planting and upkeep of flower beds, lawns, and ornamental plants

Maintenance of garden tools and equipment

Basic upkeep of outdoor structures, walkways, and drainage

Keeping the compound clean, tidy, and secure.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

At least 10 years’ verifiable experience in a similar role

Sober habits — no history of alcohol or substance abuse

A minimum of three (3) contactable references from previous employers

Valid national identity document and clean police clearance certificate

In good health and physically able to perform the required duties

Literate in Chichewa and English

Willing to work weekends and public holidays where required

Based in or willing to relocate to Lilongwe

Sound knowledge of local plant varieties, seasons, and irrigation practices

ACCOMMODATION

Live-in staff accommodation is provided on the premises.
