POSITION: LODGE / CAMP MANAGER 

OVERVIEW 

Serendib Hotels & Resorts is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and guest-focused Lodge / Camp Manager to lead the operations of one of our nature-based hospitality properties. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of lodge operations while ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency, staff leadership and sustainable tourism practices.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the lodge/camp.

Coordinate accommodation, restaurant and housekeeping operations.

Supervise safari drives, guided walks and mountain hiking activities.

Ensure guest safety and compliance with health and safety procedures.

Monitor maintenance of buildings, vehicles, equipment and camp facilities.

Drive occupancy, guest satisfaction and revenue growth.

Minimum Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, Wildlife Management or a related field.

Valid driver’s licence.

Experience Required

Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a safari lodge, camp, eco-lodge or mountain resort.

Knowledge of Malawi’s wildlife, birdlife and ecosystems

Experience working with international guests and tour operators.
