FINANCE MANAGER
Position: Finance Manager

Job Purpose
The Finance Manager will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer and lead EDF's core financial operations. The role is responsible for financial management, reporting, budgeting, treasury management, internal financial controls, financial governance, and supporting EDF's strategic mandate.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Statutory Reporting
- Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements.
- Prepare financial reports, analytical board packages and submissions for Executive Management and the Board Audit Committee.
2. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Oversee preparation, consolidation, monitoring and execution of annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis and financial modelling.
- Support optimal allocation of institutional resources.
3. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure and liquidity ratios.
- Prepare short- and long-term cash-flow projections.
- Assess credit, liquidity and market risks.
- Advise Executive Leadership on resource mobilisation strategies.
4. Internal Controls & Audit Coordination
- Establish and maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Safeguard institutional assets and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure audit recommendations are addressed and implemented.
- Manage relationships with commercial banks, financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
5. Team Leadership & Governance
- Supervise, mentor and evaluate finance team members.
- Promote technical development and operational efficiency.
- Ensure corporate governance, enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
- Full professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Active membership with ICAM or another recognised professional accounting body.
- Minimum 7 years' progressive experience in financial management.
- At least 3–5 years' experience at supervisory or managerial level.
- Experience in financial services, development finance institutions (DFIs), or structured trade finance is an added advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS, taxation and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong financial modelling skills.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High ethical standards, integrity and sound professional judgement.
