POSITION: SECURITY GUARDS (2 POSITIONS)

Location: Chitipa

OVERVIEW

The Diocese of Karonga invites applications from suitably qualified and responsible candidates for TWO (2) SECURITY GUARD POSITIONS at St. Andrews Catholic Primary School.

Key Responsibilities

- Patrol school premises and check doors, gates and windows.

- Monitor and report security risks, fire hazards and other irregularities.

- Record inspections and authorized persons entering the premises.

- Respond to alarms and security incidents.

- Report suspected unlawful activities to the appropriate authorities.

- Control access to school premises.

- Detect and report theft, fraud and other unlawful acts.

- Perform other authorized duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Attributes

Applicants must:

- Be physically fit and able to pass a medical examination if required.

- Have good hearing and eyesight.

- Be observant, responsible and trustworthy.

- Have good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

- Be able to pass a Police check.

- Have a minimum of JCE.

- Be able to read and write.

- Respect and understand the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
