POSITION: HEAD TEACHER

Location: Chitipa

OVERVIEW 

The Diocese of Karonga invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of HEAD TEACHER at the newly established St. Andrews Catholic Primary School, located to the western side of Chitipa Airport, near St. Andrews Catholic Outstation along the Katutula Road.

Key Responsibilities

- Promote quality education and maintain school standards.

- Promote discipline and a conducive learning environment.

- Supervise teaching, lesson plans, schemes and records of work.

- Conduct staff appraisals and coordinate school activities.

- Maintain good relationships between the school and community.

- Conduct general assemblies.

- Interpret and implement government education policies.

Qualifications & Experience

- T2 Certificate of Education from a recognized Teachers Training College.

- Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching/Values.

- At least 10 years' teaching and headship experience.
