POSITION: DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER

Location: Chitipa 

OVERVIEW 

The Diocese of Karonga invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER at St. Andrews Catholic Primary School in Chitipa District.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the master timetable.

- Chair and participate in disciplinary meetings.

- Check schemes of work, lesson plans and test items.

- Allocate teaching subjects to teaching staff.

- Assist the Head Teacher in supervising teaching.

- Act on behalf of the Head Teacher in their absence.

- Perform other duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

- T2 Certificate of Education from a recognized Teachers Training College.

- At least 5 years' teaching experience, including experience in a leadership position.

- Knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching is a must.
