ABOUT THE ROLE
Sunbird Tourism plc, Malawi's leading hotel group, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals who are passionate about advancing their careers to fill the vacant position of Waiter/Waitress.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Certificate in Food and Beverage Service from a recognized training institution.
• A full Malawi School Certificate of Education with credits in English and Mathematics.
• 2 years’ experience in a related capacity.
• Cordial and hospitable character.
• Observant and attentive skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Clean the restaurant at the beginning of every shift.
• Serve drinks and food to guests according to individual guest orders.
• Lay tables with clean linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware in accordance with menu of the day.
• Welcome guests.
• Take orders from guests.
• Present bills to guests when they are ready.
• Interact with guests during and after service to get feedback.
