VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Lusubilo Community Care

Lusubilo Community Care, a Catholic-based organisation committed to improving the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs), vulnerable families and communities in Malawi, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Malawians for the following positions:

1. SECURITY GUARDS

Number of Positions: 4

Duty Stations:

2 Security Guards – Chitipa

1 Security Guard – Karonga Boma

1 Security Guard – Songwe

Reports to: Head Guard / Designated Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

Conducting regular patrols of Lusubilo premises, residential areas, project sites and other organisational property.

Securing buildings, equipment and assets against theft, damage, fire and unauthorised access.

Controlling and monitoring access to organisational premises.

Reporting suspicious activities and security risks.

Preventing and responding to trespassing, theft, vandalism and other security incidents.

Responding to emergencies and supporting fire prevention and safety initiatives.

Maintaining security records and occurrence books.

Following organisational policies and performing any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent.

Previous experience as a Security Guard.

Relevant security training is an added advantage.

Ability to read and write basic English.

Good physical fitness and ability to work shifts.

Knowledge of the local area is an added advantage.
