ActionAid Malawi is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Business Development Specialist.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Business Development Specialist will lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to increase organisational income and support the achievement of ActionAid Malawi's Country Strategy Paper objectives.

The role involves donor intelligence, market research, identifying funding opportunities, developing business models and leading resource mobilisation initiatives. The successful candidate will also support compliance and effective grant management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to grow organisational income.
• Conduct market research, donor intelligence and funding opportunity scoping.
• Identify and assess potential funding opportunities.
• Develop business models that support sustainable resource mobilisation.
• Lead fundraising initiatives involving ActionAid affiliates, institutional donors and high-value donors.
• Support the development of funding proposals and business development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant donor requirements and organisational procedures.
• Support effective grant management and contribute to the achievement of programme objectives.
