About Nkhamenya Community Hospital
Nkhamenya Community Hospital is a Catholic health facility under the Mzuzu Diocese. The hospital operates under the Diocese’s Health Commission, which works to ensure that rural communities have access to quality healthcare delivered according to professional standards and the healing values of the Catholic Church.
The hospital is inviting applications from qualified candidates for three Nurse-Midwifery Technicians Internee positions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Accompany and assist doctors and clinicians during ward rounds, clinics, and medical procedures.
- Provide comprehensive care to chronically ill patients using the nursing process.
- Document patient information and compile daily reports and other required data.
- Examine and assess antenatal mothers and other patients.
- Attend to mothers during delivery in the labour ward.
- Prepare and deliver health education talks to patients, clients, and guardians.
- Conduct mobile and static clinics on designated days.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be practising Christians.
- Have at least two years of experience in the position being applied for.
- Have a traceable professional record.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hold the relevant college diploma for the position.
Contract and Remuneration
Successful candidates will be offered a one-year, non-renewable contract.
A competitive remuneration package in line with the Government of Malawi salary scale will be offered.
