The hospital invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Patient Attendant (Grade O).

Minimum Qualifications

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with at least six credits.
• Must be a practising Christian.
• At least two years of experience in the position applied for.
• A traceable record.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean hospital wards, offices, toilets and surrounding areas.
• Assist with moving patients, equipment and medical supplies.
• Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Support ward activities during busy periods and emergencies.
• Maintain the cleanliness of medical equipment.
• Observe safety and infection prevention and control procedures at all times.

Contract and Remuneration

Successful candidates for the Hospital Attendant position will be offered a three-year contract, renewable depending on performance.

A competitive remuneration package in line with the Government of Malawi salary scale will be offered.
