Agricane Malawi Ltd is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals to work at an Agricultural Research and Innovation Hub in Chikwawa. The hub aims to support commercial and smallholder farmers in the Lower Shire Basin through crop research, agronomy, irrigation, and extension services.

The following positions are available:

Agronomy Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Implement trial protocols and ensure data accuracy

• Supervise field staff in land preparation, planting, irrigation, fertilization, crop protection, and harvesting

• Monitor crops and report pests, diseases, and irrigation problems

• Maintain irrigation systems with technical staff

• Ensure proper use of machinery and field equipment

• Support field demonstrations and farmer training activities

• Assist with data collection and record keeping

Requirements

• Diploma or BSc in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science or related field

• Minimum 3 years experience in crop production or research station operations

• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and crop husbandry

• Experience managing field teams

• Ability to follow technical protocols accurately
