Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is the country’s leading producer of raw, refined and specialty sugars. It employs over 9,000 employees and is a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Illovo Sugar Africa Group, which is part of Associated British Foods plc (ABF).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Checks and weighs bales and bags of sugar to ensure compliance with specified mass.

2. Batch codes each bale and bag of sugar produced by the company.

3. Checks the quality of sugar packets and bales to ensure compliance with set Standards.

4. Checks the accuracy of platform scales to ensure the correct weight is recorded.

5. Maintains good house‑keeping of workstation so it is healthy and safe to work in.

6. Reports any food safety and quality issues to supervisors or designated individuals for immediate action.

7. Promotes and adheres to Illovo’s procedures, policies and guidelines including, without limitation, those relating to SHE (Safety, Health & Environment), Competition Law and Anti‑Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).

- Minimum of 1 year work experience.
