POSITION: DENTIST

Location: Liwonde, Machinga

OVERVIEW

Liwonde Private Hospital is a private health facility providing high-quality healthcare services. The hospital is seeking an experienced Dentist to deliver comprehensive dental care and promote oral health among patients.

Role Purpose

Diagnose, treat, and prevent dental conditions while educating patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ medical records

• Prepare patients for treatment (e.g., sedation or anaesthesia)

• Diagnose dental conditions using examinations, X-rays, and tests

• Clean teeth and remove plaque

• Treat tooth decay and perform fillings

• Design and fit dental prosthetics (crowns, bridges, dentures)

• Perform extractions and root canal procedures

• Conduct surgeries on oral tissues and bones

• Prescribe medication where necessary

• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices

• Promote preventive dental care and regular check-ups

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Dentistry from a recognized institution

• Registered with a recognized professional body

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Minimum age of 25 years
