M.I.R.A.C.L.E Technical Institute is a Karonga based national private Technical College that offers Technical Skills Training in Electrical Installation and Electronics, Solar Photovoltaic Installation, Cosmetology, Tailoring and Fashion Design, Food production, Carpentry and Joinery and Computer studies. The institute also offers training in Community Development, and Information Communication Technology.


JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a highly organized, qualified and detail-oriented male/ female instructor to teach communication and entrepreneurship in our institution.


Therefore, the Institute invites applications from suitably qualified, passionate and experienced male/female to fill the vacant position of:

REQUIREMENTS


A bachelor’s degree in social sciences: communication/community development/social work, teaching certificate or related others from recognized institution, with a teaching experience of not less than two years.


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


o May teach, therefore must be able to solve problems with students independently.

o To help students learn and understand basic and complex knowledge and skills by breaking the lessons in a way that they are easily understood.

o Set and timely mark exams in accordance with the specific trade.

o Participate in all academic and professional activities of the section and Institute.

o Check the school time table regularly.

o Organize lessons and working schemes.

o Assess and report class performance or progress to the principal / dean of studies.

o Preparing a teaching table and class assignments in correspondence with the syllabus covered.

o Taking charge of the class learning and teaching materials.

o Provide a positive role model for students by maintaining high standards of dress, behavior and rapport.

o Ensuring cleanliness in the classroom

o Ensures students are trained according to MIRACLE required qualification level.

o Ensures that students are provided with the quality standards of Business education according to MIRACLE standard.

o Participation in assessment of national qualifications as an internal assessor

o To attend weekly section meetings for the smooth running of the section and the institute as a whole.

o To participate weekly section meetings for the smooth running of the department and the institute as a whole.

o Facilitate effective and efficient working relationship with other departments to promote a conducive environment.

o Share information about class issues or management to the HOS, Principal/Dean

o Ensure that discipline among students is maintained.

o Adheres to all institute terms and conditions of services.

o Undertakes other duties as directed by the HOS, administration or designated other.

o Assisting the chaplaincy office

o Undertakes other duties as directed by the HOS, administration or designated other.

o Aged between 25 – 40 years old
