JOB PURPOSE

To lead and manage the creative group, ensuring all artistic productions align with organizational messaging and engagement objectives, and to drive employee awareness through structured communication via drama, poetry, dance, and music.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Team Leadership & Management

  - Lead and manage the creative group, ensuring all drama, poetry, dance, and music productions are aligned with organizational messaging and engagement objectives.

2. Creative Communication

  - Develop and implement structured communication through various artistic mediums (drama, poetry, dance, music) to enhance employee awareness of key themes such as safety, health, values, and strategy.

3. Content & Performance Quality

  - Ensure high-quality performance delivery through comprehensive training, script/lyric/choreography development, and effective content planning for all artistic disciplines.

4. Storytelling & Engagement Culture

  - Drive a vibrant culture of storytelling and creative engagement, making organizational messages relatable, memorable, and impactful through diverse artistic expressions.

5. Accountability & Continuous Improvement

  - Hold team members accountable to professional performance standards across all artistic disciplines and ensure continuous improvement in the quality of creative content and delivery.

6. Policy Compliance

  - Promote and adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies, and guidelines, including without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, and follow safety measures from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with a Certificate in Performing Arts or a related field.

- A Diploma in the relevant field will be an added advantage.

Experience

- At least 3 years’ experience managing or leading performing arts groups and productions.

Skills

- Skills in script development, rehearsal direction, and performance in disciplines such as drama, poetry, dance, or music.
